The Arab Federation for Digital Economy discusses  recent developments of the joint Arab Strategic Vision for Digital Economy with (ESCWA) in Beirut

Beirut – The Arab Federation for Digital Economy of the Council of Arab Economic Unity  in the League of Arab States  held a meeting today, Thursday 12 December 2019, with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Lebanon – Beirut, in the presence of a delegation from the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and the team of the joint Arab Strategic Vision for Digital Economy.

The meeting featured a discussion of the most recent developments in regards to the Arab vision’s objectives for Digital Economy which aims at promoting joint Arab cooperation to support digital transformation and technological advancement plans in the Arab States.

It is worth noting that the League of Arab States has launched the joint Arab Strategic Vision for Digital Economy at Abu Dhabi’s conference during December 2018. The preliminary draft included approximately 50 digital transformation leading initiatives for the entire member states, part of the Arab League’s efforts to keep pace with the significant global transformations in digital economy by mobilizing Arab capacities and international experiences and synergizing joint Arab coordination to serve a set of positive objectives that will advance Arab societies.
