Following the agreement signed last September between the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Cairo University for the development of the Arab Digital Economy strategy, the Council’s delegation headed by its General Secretary H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed Al-Rabea met with representatives of the university and EFESO consulting firm in Cairo.
The progress review meeting is to ensure efforts are focused on the main pillars of the Arab Digital Economy. The Council will study and review the strategy with international and Arab institutions and organizations as well as experts from around the world that include the UN, the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development amongst other institutions specialized in the fields of digital economy.
The Arab Federation for Digital Economy, a member of the Council of Arab Economic Unity at the League of Arab States manages and oversees the strategy, which aims at developing the digital economy in the Arab world and support economic stability as well as promote joint Arab action.
